Getting there

Subframes out. And I’ve got 3/4 of the bushes out. 1 to go. But just got sick of them.

Also I now seem to have a mysteriously large hole in my roof.

Pulled the sunroof out because it leaked and didn’t work. Plus made my roof too low and kept catching my helmet on it. So I’m just going to put a plate over it.

Also got my coilovers sorted and swapped the spring over to have softer in rear and harder in front finally.

On another weird note. When pulling one of the bushed out some random silicon like gunk came out. Weird as.

1000 pieces

So at the last drift day the skyline had a good old beating and so now she’s a little worse for wear. But its on its way to getting fixed.
I’ve pulled the motor out to fix the turbo gasket after the turbo came undone from the manifold all by itself. And to get the gearbox fixed after ben killed 2nd gear.

I’ve also pulled the whole front end off to finally fix my wheel clearance issues.

Pulled the coilovers out to sort out my wacky spring rates.

And I’m going to drop the subframe out while I’m at it to put some solid risers in to try fix the weird noises in the rear.

Finally I’ve pulled all the dash and stuff out back to the bare minimum for a vit of a new look.

All for the sake of progress and in preperation for something coming up.

Looking the part.

Have made some progress on the white R32 in recent weekends.

Got the adjusties in and wasn’t happy with the ride height

So I pulled them out again and took the locking rings out.

Nathan also decided he didn’t want to run his Mspec sideskirts anymore so i long term borrowed them

 

I also changed the front bumper (white one was ripped down the centre) and made a front lip out of another R32 bumper we had lying around. Together with the sideskirts i reckon it looks pretty dope

 

A few weeks ago a good friend of mine crashed his Cefiro and decided to part it out. I grabbed to bootlid off him and cut it up to make this roof spoiler. It’s pretty rough/Madmax style but i like it and it didn’t cost a cent.

 

 

I also got a pair of 195/50/15 semi slicks (fairly well used) so fit them to the 15×9 widened steels and put them on the front.

 

And then tidied up the interior a bit and put the dash back in.

 

I lent my Recaro bucket seat to a mate on long-term loan and he is getting it recovered as payment so will put my racetech in as the driverseat soon, however that is also out on loan to Jacob Hakaraia so am trying to get that back

Now on the to-do list…

Need to make a new exhaust.

Fit spacers on rear and get wheels that aren’t just factory nissan wheels.

Fit seat.

And then send it away to another mate to get re-wired and all the little niggles fixed.

Fitted

Finally got around to putting the C2′s on the Corolla today.

Definitely need to change that ride height soon though!

Daily life

Nathan went drifting today. I went too, but i brought a set of wheels to make my corolla cooler instead
They’re TOMs C2′s. Will sort out some lowering next. I cant wait to have a cool daily again. Been like 3 years

New plate

Put the random NISSAN plate ben had scored on my skyline. Looks pretty sweet if I say so myself

Maintenance

I brought some adjusties for the white r32 a couple weeks ago so thought id better get around to putting them in.
At the same time i put new front camber arms in as these ones were rooted. Completely stuffed bushes

I then thought i’d look at why the handbrake wasnt working. Initially i thought i’d snapped the cable as it went “ping” when it stopped working. Pulled the drivers drum off and it was sweet

So i pulled the passengers side off and the shoes fell out with the drum

I will get some new shoes during the week and hopefully have it sorted.
Atleast it wasn’t a snapped cable
